Breaking Through Coded Patriarchy to Design for Modern Women
Limited Capacity filling up

Women represent the largest unserved market in business due to "coded patriarchy" - the exclusion of female perspectives in design, from technology, to clothing to even cities. With the success of companies like The Honest Company and Thinx, were seeing the rise of women-centered innovation: products and services designed for women by women. Women-centered innovation has attracted over $1.5 billion in investment in the last few years. How do you tap into this new type of innovative thinking and apply these lessons to your own career and business goals?

Startup Mama: How motherhood can enhance (rather than hurt) your entrepreneurial career
Limited Capacity seats available

By and large, the narrative in the startup community is that motherhood and startup culture don't mix. Being an entrepreneur consists of late nights, endless dinners of pizza or ramen, and a lot of dudes.  Actually, there is no better time than now to be a mom -- and a successful startup founder.  In this session, we'll discuss how the tide is changing for women in entrepreneurship and how that affects moms. We'll debunk myths about parenting in the startup age, pull a few lessons from successful women who have done it, and discuss how we can take it upon ourselves to continue closing the gender gap by addressing arguably one of the startup community's top issues in inclusiveness.
