Leadership can be complex territory for women, especially in male-dominated cultures and fields. In this workshop, I'll invite participants to think about the pathways to two different kinds of leadership roles (positional and influential), and how to align action with intended impact when in both kinds of role.

In 2000, Liz founded Strategy Matters - a consulting firm supporting businesses, nonprofits, government, and public private partnerships to address pressing problems and create new solutions.  Previously, she was Deputy Director for Strategic Planning at the Boston Police Department, and in that role supported a citywide planning process that engaged over 400 residents and yielded great reductions in crime. She built relationships with businesses, philanthropists, and government to secure support for community partners working to prevent crime in Boston.  Liz holds a MA in Philosophy from the University of Washington and a BA in Philosophy and Politics from Mount Holyoke College.
